Ballou is an outfit born out of Boston with members of
varied music careers from all parts of the world.
Incarnated in late 2006, they immediately went to work
writing and recording their debut album, LEAD POISONING,
which was released in the fall of 2009.

The music could be described as a mix of north-of-the-
equator world music as well as rock&roll, folk, and
gypsy folk melodies.

The band consists of Kenn Ballou on guitar and vocals,
Matt Mihm on bass, Cutty on drums, John Buczkowski
on accordion, and Julia Okrusko on violin.
